✨ Setup Your Own Flashcards
This application can load custom flashcards directly from a private or shared Google Sheet. Follow these simple steps to hook up your own curriculum library:
1. Format Your Spreadsheet
Create a brand new Google Sheet. Your sheet must contain exactly four columns in the first row. Use this identical header footprint format:
Column A: Category
Column B: Word
Column C: ImageURL
Column D: Sentence
Example Row: Animals | Dog | https://site.com | The big dog barks.
2. Grant Read Permissions
- Click the blue Share button in the top right corner of Google Sheets.
- Under General Access, shift the default status rule from "Restricted" to "Anyone with the link can view".
3. Copy and Apply the Sheet ID
Look at your browser address bar link. Copy the long random string of letters and numbers located between the /d/ block and the /edit block:
https://google.com1A2B3C4D5E6F_YOUR_SHEET_ID/edit
Click the ⚙️ gear icon located at the top right corner of this screen, paste your code string, and tap Apply Custom Sheet. Your browser will lock and save this setting permanently!
